The Castle of Spontin

Located in the heart of the Bocq Valley, Château de Spontin is a feudal fortress dating back to the 13th century. A true treasure of Walloon heritage, it stands out for its remarkable architectural features, including an authentic drawbridge that is still in working order—a rarity in Belgium—as well as an elegant neo-Gothic wing open to visitors.

Throughout the year, the castle comes alive with a varied program of cultural and festive events. Temporary exhibitions, local farmers’ markets, and themed activities set the pace for life at the site and attract visitors seeking new experiences and authenticity.

In addition to its role as a tourist attraction, the castle offers its indoor and outdoor spaces for rent for private or professional events. Weddings, seminars, receptions, and corporate meetings can thus take place in a unique historic setting that combines charm, character, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere.
