On foot

The best way to explore the Yvoir region is on foot, following any of the 14 marked hiking trails, ranging from 5 to 16 km in length. Two long-distance hiking trails also crisscross the region, allowing you to combine several routes as you please.

Whether you’re a fan of sweeping vistas and scenic overlooks or a budding nature lover, you’ll enjoy exploring the Meuse hillsides and their Mediterranean atmosphere starting at the end of winter. If you’re more of a homebody or prefer the seclusion of the Bocq Valley, let yourself be swept away beneath the canopy of oak and maple trees, typical of our region. There you’ll find cool respite in summer and 50 shades of orange come fall.

Information and maps are available at the Tourist Office or online through our partner Explore Meuse.

Please note: Between September and January, hunting may take place, closing certain trails to the public. Be sure to watch for signs indicating hunting dates and times, or check  ChasseOnWeb.

Trail running enthusiasts, Godinne is the starting point for four permanent trails, marked from the train station through the forests of the Bocq Valley. Choose from 8, 16, 26, and 36 km routes on gravel paths—perfect for running alone or in a group! Download the GPX tracks:
